Safe Independence Solutions is a Michigan-based human services organization dedicated to redefining autonomy. We believe that with the right combination of clinical expertise and enabling technology, every individual can lead a dignified, community-integrated life. We are proud to serve the Michigan community, specifically Kalamazoo, Schoolcraft, Calhoun, Barry, Allegan, and Kent counties.

Eli Maina — CEO & Program Director

Eli is an Assistive Technology Specialist with over a decade of experience in Human Services. Before establishing operations in Michigan, he served as a state-level Trainer for Home and Community Based Settings (HCBS) and pioneered the creation of the first-ever Remote Support Center in the Northeast—a facility dedicated to virtual support for people with intellectual disabilities. As CEO, he ensures that cutting-edge technology is the "brain" behind all our services.

Caroline Maina, RN — Clinical Director

Caroline brings a powerhouse of clinical knowledge to our leadership team. With a background in Physical Therapy and her credentials as a Registered Nurse, she oversees all training, policy development, and health standards. Her dual expertise ensures that our clinical care is proactive, safe, and tailored to the physical needs of those we serve.
